Animation Studio Projects
I collaborated with talented illustrators and animators at Kurzgesagt, developing content for their YouTube channel. My work focused on storyboarding, designing characters in their signature style, and creating final vector artwork for animation.

What Happens if the Moon Crashes into Earth?
The Kurzgesagt video "What Happens if the Moon Crashes into Earth?" explores a hypothetical scenario where the Moon slowly spirals towards Earth instead of maintaining its stable orbit.
My Role: Illustrator, Storyboarder
Illustration Team: Andrés Alarcón, Manuel Kilger, Malon Wackerbauer
Creative Director: Philip Laibacher

Storyboards
I storyboarded these key scenes, translating the script's scientific details into visuals. The main challenge was depicting the escalating, destructive effects of the Moon nearing Earth, requiring me to creatively illustrate complex concepts like gravitational forces and planetary disintegration.

From Scribble to vector art
After several rounds of revisions and validation for the illustrated scenes, my next step was to develop the concepts further and create the final vector artwork in Kurzgesagt's specific style, ready for the animation team.

Change Your Life – One Tiny Step at a Time

It argues that making new habits incredibly easy to start helps bypass our brain's resistance, gradually building new, effortless routines, thereby prioritizing consistency over intensity for sustainable long-term growth.

Early pitch Concepts
I presented these scribble concepts as a visual pitch for the video. They served as a way to clarify how an action plan, powered by triggers, can make adopting new habits less exhaustive. Later I refined the storyboards to match the project's art direction."

Icons design
For this video, icons were used to explain the steps of a routine, like making carbonara pasta. I was responsible for illustrating this part of the video, which is my favorite!
